Stavros tis Psokas fire brought under control (updated)
A fire in the Paphos forest was completely extinguished at 3:40pm on Saturday, after it broke out almost two hours earlier from a lightning strike, the forestry department said.
According to the department, the fire near Stavros tis Psokas burned two hectares of brush. Ten vehicles along with the two aircraft of the forestry department aided in battling the blaze.
Vehicles will remain in the area to guard and watch for any flare ups, the forestry department said.
