Masi CXGR Supremo or Surly Midnight Special

Hi everyone,

Thanks again for everyone who helped decide between the Cinelli and the Masi in an earlier thread.

I had decided to go with the better build and the Masi... however by the time I decided, the Supremo in my size is out of stock. And will be for a few weeks/months.
The bike shop is suggesting I consider the Surly Midnight Special.
I can't find much information on the Masi so I am wondering if there are any insights here? I am also not familiar with Sram really as I have always ridden on different Shimano rigs.
I will mostly ride it along the awful streets of Oakland California, some moderate gravel riding and am planning on some overnight, light touring.
Mostly I am looking for a versatile and durable fun ride to complement my road setup.

So now I am wondering if I should wait for the Masi or if the Surly might be worth it.
