[Women's Soccer] Mchattie wins first MSC Offensive Player of the Week Award
On the back of a three-goal week, Aberdeenshire, Scotland's Eilidh Mchattie was able to collect her first Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week Award, as awarded by conference officials on Monday afternoon.
Mchattie, who posted a goal against Point Park (Pa.) and two goals against Brescia (Ky.) in 2-1 and 6-0 victories for the Bears, respectively, scored a game-winning, 72nd minute goal on a breakaway to lift the Bears to their 2-1 victory over the Pioneers in Pittsburgh on Tuesday evening. Mchattie then starred again by posting each of the Bears' first two goals against the Bearcats, scoring in the 27th and 53rd minutes, respectively, in the shutout victory that featured five second-half goals by Shawnee State. The Bears, in all, collected a massive 23-3 shot advantage in the latter affair, including an amazing 16-0 edge on shots in the second half of competition.
