RELATIVES of a beauty queen killed in the Leicester City helicopter crash are suing the club’s owners for £7.9million.

Nusara Suknamai, 32, was one of five killed when the aircraft crashed outside the King Power Stadium last October.

Her family in Thailand is suing the estate of billionaire club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 60, who also died, saying she was her parents’ main provider.

Lawyers for Nusara’s family have told the King Power Group it did not compensate them. They say they got just £2,000 for her funeral and money donated to monks.

Offers of £20,100 and £40,200 were refused as they did not think it was enough and could have affected their rights to further insurance claims.

Nusara was a 2005 Miss Thailand Universe runner-up and later became the Leicester City owner’s personal assistant.

She died alongside Leicester’s Thai owner Mr Srivaddhanaprabha, fellow Foxes staff member Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz.

They were killed when the helicopter fell from the sky and burst into flames at the south east end of the club’s King Power Stadium shortly after a match against West Ham.

The Leicester owner was often seen flying out of the King Power Stadium, rather than leaving by car.

The Bangkok trial is set for November.
