[Volleyball] Martin wins third MSC Defensive POW Award of career

Behind a career-high 40 digs against Trinity International and a week where Shawnee State's Stacia Martin collected 105 digs for the volleyball program at SSU, the senior libero was honored as the Mid-South Conference's Defender of the Week on Monday by officials around the conference.

Martin, who has 410 digs for the season, ranks second in the NAIA in that category as the Bears' premiere defender on the backline. The senior from Indianapolis, Ind. recorded 20 or more digs in each of the four matches that Shawnee State played in this past week, including the five-set defeat to Trinity International, where Martin amazingly collected her career high in digs without committing a single reception error in the match.
