HARVEY ELLIOTT is set to make his Liverpool debut tonight and become one of the club’s youngest players.

The 16-year-old is in the squad for the EFL Cup clash at MK Dons and is expected to play a part.

He could even start against the League One side as Xherdan Shaqiri has picked up a knock and will miss out.

Elliott was the Premier League’s youngest player at 16 years and 30 days, when he featured for Fulham last season — then secured a move to Anfield over the summer.

He has impressed coaches at the club’s Melwood HQ and has put him within sight of Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

Klopp is expected to rest key players for tonight’s Stadium:MK tie, which has put the Elliott in his plans.

YOUTH OR EXPERIENCE?

The German did not sign a left-back to cover for first-choice Andy Robertson but James Milner has trained there ahead of the match and could step in.

Naby Keita has also been passed fit following his hip injury at the start of the season.

Joe Gomez has the chance of more first-team football after falling behind Joel Matip in the pecking order.

The England defender came on for the final minute of the win over Chelsea, but has not played a full match since the 4-1 win over Norwich on the opening day of the season.

Rhian Brewster could also make his full debut, after getting plenty of minutes and four goals during pre-season.
