Fifa fail to read Cristiano Ronaldo’s name at The Best Football Awards despite absent Juventus star making World XI
FIFA failed to read Cristiano Ronaldo’s name out when they revealed their Bext XI at their awards ceremony on Monday night.
The Juventus forward was pipped to the main award by long-time rival Lionel Messi.
But he did make The Best XI – yet the hosts didn’t even read his name out.
All the other ten players took their place on the stage in Milan and were applauded as their names were read out.
Ronaldo seemed pretty unflustered about that though – he shared a photo on Instagram of him relaxing and reading a book as the ceremony played out, relaxing at home as he nurses an injury.
