Ontario man Mike Plas was at work when he got the call from an animal shelter in Winnipeg. It had been years since he lost his dog, Jack, but miraculously, Jack had been found.

Plas detailed the reunion in a Facebook post published on Saturday, saying he had lost Jack roughly four years ago. He told Mashable in a Facebook message it was actually closer to three — not that it makes a difference when a furry friend goes missing for so long. Plas had Jack for four years before he went missing.
