It’s not often that you watch a Liverpool game and think ‘wow, Sadio Mane really disappointed me today’. However, that was very much the case against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Senegal international looked lacklustre from start to finish in the Reds’ 1-0 victory at Bramall Lane and, to be frank, he stunk up the place.

It was a pretty awful display, which was made all the more obvious by his typical excellence in a red shirt. On this occasion, however, he simply got it wrong and questions must be asked of him now.
