Seven persons, including four cops, were booked for extortion on Friday evening after a man accused of rape attempted to self-immolate here. With around 40% burn injuries, the 50-year-old man, identified as Kamaldeep Singh, was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
