Mum shares incredible £21.80 mermaid wall she created for her daughter using free B&M samples
A MUM has shared the incredible mermaid wall she created for her daughter, using free samples from B&M.
The savvy Brit spent just £21.80 transforming her mermaid-obsessed daughter’s room.
To create the main feature, she bought a £20 tin of green paint, which is aptly named ‘mermaid’, from B&M – as well as the wallpaper samples.
She then cut the scale shape out of a cereal box and duplicated it, before sticking them on the wall with paste costing £1.80.
The doting mum also bought a set of hanging fish, £12, from Amazon and a mermaid lampshade costing £11.75.
Sharing her hard work on Facebook, where it’s racked up more than 1,000 likes, she said: “my little Betty is over the moon!”

Her fellow mums raved over the finished object, writing: “It looks fabulous – well done!” and “Looks beautiful. What a lucky little girl.”
Others gushed: “That’s gorgeous”, “impressive” and “that’s so cute I bet she loves it”.
Earlier this week, one woman renovated her dingy staircase into a Mrs Hinch-inspired hall for just £50 – and the transformation photos are impressive.
