28/09/19 U11 B1 Saturday: Brave Park Celtic fight back

The U11 B1 team “lost” 7 6 to Esker Celtic away this Saturday. It was a massive improvement on last week ‘s performance which was a loss of 8:3 to the same team.

Park Celtic went one goal up and pretty much bossed the game, however, missed few chances.

Park then conceded 3 goals in the last 5 mins of the first half to go into the break 3:1 down.

In the second half Park went 7 :3 down, just to fight themselves back into the match with a herculean effort to a score of 7: 6.

In the last minute of the match Park then played their way up into the Esker Celtic box and a clear foul occurred which should have resulted in a penalty but to the astonishment and consternation of the team, coaches & parents the match was blown up there and then without the chance for Park Celtic to attempt the penalty and get the draw they deserved…

The scorers were Luke 4 and Harry 2.

But the Man of the Match has to go to Conor who’s reading of the game from the back and distribution of the ball was first class.

A great performance with an unlucky end. Well done to the boys!!
