N.Y.P.D. Officer Was Killed by ‘Friendly Fire’ During Struggle With Suspect

Officer Brian Mulkeen was shot and killed just after midnight on Sunday when fellow officers opened fire as he struggled with an armed man in the Bronx. His last words were, “He’s reaching for it.”
