The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Gujarat government to implement in two weeks the court’s April 23 order directing the state to give Rs 50 lakh, a job and a house to Bilkis Yakub Rasool as compensation for the 17-year ordeal she suffered since the 2002 communal riots, when a mob gang-raped her and killed her toddler daughter.
