[Men's Soccer] Ramos named AAC Defensive Player of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Montreat College men's soccer's Jesus Ramos has been named this week's Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is his first weekly honor of the season.

The junior goalkeeper from Nayarit, Mexico recorded eight saves in a 4-1 win over Milligan College and notched a shutout in an 8-0 win against Kentucky Christian University this past week.

Ramos showed out with a key performance in the win over Milligan where he had an acrobatic series of back-to-back-to-back saves in a matter of two seconds to preserve Montreat's lead en route to helping the Cavs secure the win.

He has only allowed three goals in his last four appearances and has posted two shutouts so far this year.

Ramos and the Cavs are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 2 when they take on Union College on the road at 7 p.m. ET.
