Elderly man, car missing from Antioch
Antioch police are searching for a 78-year-old man who has been missing since early Tuesday.
Police say Clarence Smith, who was last seen at about 8 a.m., suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. His vehicle is also missing.
Smith, who is black, weighs 150 pounds and is 6-feet tall and has gray hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing black pants and a gray sweater, according to police.
The CHP has issued a silver alert. Smith drives a silver 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe with a California license plate of 4ZKH349.
County surveillance cameras recorded his car in the area of Stone Valley Road and Danville Boulevard in Alamo at about 5:35 a.m. Wednesday.
