Worker who died at BP’s NW Indiana refinery fell 30 feet

WHITING, Ind. (AP) - A construction worker who was killed at BP’s sprawling northwestern Indiana oil refinery died after falling about 30 feet (9 meters).

The Lake County coroner says 23-year-old Gilberto Rangel Jr. of Griffith was pronounced dead Wednesday at BP’s Whiting refinery.
