Mechanic dies during drag car preparation

A 35-year-old mechanic died at dawn on Thursday (3), inside the workshop where he worked, at Rua Santo Antonio Tortato, in the Umbar'a neighborhood of Curitiba.

The officials were preparing a car that was to take part in a drag when one of the pieces came loose and hit the boy in the neck. He was next to the car following a possible test, when there was a kind of explosion and soon it fell to the workshop floor.

A team from the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (Siate) was called in, but the boy could not resist the serious injury.
