Person struck by Red Line train at Granville: reports
Trains are only operating between Belmont Avenue and 95th Street, CTA said.
A person was struck by a Red Line train Saturday night at the Granville station in Edgewater on the North Side.
CTA announced the service disruption about 10:40 p.m., stating that trains are only operating between the Belmont Avenue and 95th Street stops. Chicago police said they were conducting a death investigation, but provided no other details.
Preliminary reports from police scanner traffic indicated a person was struck by a train.

Shuttle buses between the Howard and Belmont Avenue stops were available to riders, CTA officials said.
Passengers are urged to consider alternate routes are crews worked to restore service.
