Chelsea FC hoping to secure new contracts for two key youngsters – report

Chelsea FC are hoping to sign Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham to new long-term contracts in the coming weeks, according to reports in the British media.

The Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues are out to try and convince the youngsters to agree to new deal at Stamford Bridge after their impressive starts to the season under Frank Lampard.

The same story says that the Blues are “hopeful” that they will be able to sign both Tomori and Abraham to new long-term contracts with the west London club.

Tomori, 21, has less than two years left on his current deal at Chelsea FC and the defender has been in impressive form for Lampard’s side so far this term.

Abraham, meanwhile, has been earning lots of praise for his solid performances up front for the Blues this season and his current deal is set to expire in 2022.

Tomori has impressed in the four Premier League games he has started this season, scoring one goal in the top flight for Lampard’s men.

Abraham, 22, has scored an impressive eight goals in all competitions for the Blues so far this season.

Both players will be hoping to start when the Blues travel to Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
