[Football] Second half surge powers (RV) Threshers past (RV) Warriors, 31-26
NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel Threshers (4-0, 4-0) took the field yesterday afternoon inside Thresher Stadium and faced their greatest foe of the season thus far. For Bethel, a victory over the Sterling Warriors (3-1, 3-1) would mean many things, including the 300th victory in program history, knotting up the all-time series against the Warriors at 43-43-2, and keeping their undefeated streak alive. In the most highly anticipated game for Bethel this decade, the Threshers came through. A second-half surge powered by Chantz Scurry (SO/Ardmore, Okla.) and the Bethel run game put Bethel on top, while the Thresher defense locked down the Warrior offense. Bethel took the victory 31-26.
