Officials: 1 employee assaulted at North Carolina prison

WINDSOR, N.C. (AP) - State officials say an employee was assaulted at the North Carolina prison where an officer was killed two years ago.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety says an inmate on Saturday assaulted the employee of Bertie Correctional Institution in Windsor with a "handmade weapon."
