1 dead after plane crashes, burns near California airport

VENTURA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say one person died when a small plane crashed and caught fire in a field near a Southern California airport.

Ventura County Fire Department Capt. Brian McGrath says crews responded around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a plane down near Camarillo airport.
