Andrew Scott shares his thoughts on being dubbed Hot Priest from 'Fleabag'

Two words set the internet ablaze when Season 2 of Fleabag hit our screens: Hot. Priest. 

But, was the priest intended to be "hot"?

"It was written as 'the priest,' the internet has adopted the character as the 'Hot Priest,'" Scott explained. "It was written as 'the priest' otherwise I think I would have been kind of intimidated." 

Scott said that after playing a lot of "villainous characters" like Sherlock's Jim Moriarty, he was keen to play a character "a little more similar to myself." 

"When we first started talking about this character we wanted him to be a good man who has a genuine dilemma between his love of this woman and his love of the church," explained Scott.   Read more...
