Azerbaijan mulls Russian plan for nuclear plant construction

Azerbaijan is considering a Russian proposal for launching a nuclear power plant on its country’s territory, Minval.az reports, citing the energy minister.

Speaking to journalists in Baku, Parviz Shahbazov said they rely on the country’s "great experience" in the implementation of nuclear projects globally,

″Russia has made a proposal to Azerbaijan, which we are now considering,″ he said without elaborating further.

The proposal for the construction of a powerful nuclear plant was made at the Valdai Discussion Club’s recent meeting in Sochi.
