[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Ties with ONU
Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men's soccer team hosted conference-foe Olivet Nazarene University this afternoon. Entering today's match, the Saints were looking to build off their great win on Saturday. After a slow first half offensively for both teams, the halftime score was 0-0. Cliff Brown had a great shot on goal late in the first half but was unable to put the ball in the back of the net. The second half pick up for the Saints, but the ONU goalkeeper was able to keep the game tied 0-0, as we ended regulation. Each team recorded two shots in the first 10-minute overtime, but neither team was able to come away with a goal, as the game would enter the second overtime. Holy Cross outshot the Tiger 2-1 in the second overtime, but the game ended in a 0-0 tie. With the tie, the Saints stand at 7-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in CCAC play while ONU stands at 3-5-4 and 2-3-1.
