Octavia Spencer May Have Made a Huge Mistake in Apple TV+ Trailer for ‘Truth Be Told’ (Video)
Even us incredible journalists make mistakes. Some just happen to be bigger than others.
In the trailer for Apple TV+ limited series “Truth Be Told,” podcaster and former newspaper reporter Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer) comes to grips with the fact that her old articles may have assisted in the conviction of an innocent man, Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), of murder.
“I am for truth, no matter who tells it. I am for justice, no matter who it’s for — or against,” Poppy opens the trailer, which Apple released on Thursday.
In the limited series, Parnell comes face to face with Cave, whom she helped convince the public was a “privileged psychopath,” as he tells her.
“The people will get their show,” Paul’s incarcerated character promises Spencer’s free woman.
