Our president was correct. There were no Kurds from Kurdistan at Omaha Beach in World War II, just as there were no Israelis or Pakistanis. He did fail to mention that there is a high probability that relatives and/or friends of his grandfather were at Omaha Beach. They were called Germans. Jere L. Bacharach, Seattle
