Police Scotland ‘will run out of cash to pay wages in February’ – Fear overdraft extended

POLICE SCOTLAND could be forced to extend its overdraft to pay rank-and-file officers, the Justice Secretary has admitted. Humza Yousaf said plans to cut the service’s deficit would have to be “revised” after the head of the Police Federation in Scotland claimed that the force will run out of money to pay wages in February – two months before the end of the financial year.
