[Women's Basketball] 2019-20 Women's Basketball Season Preview
Kansas Wesleyan Women's Basketball Coach Ryan Showman looks at his squad for the 2019-20 season and sees a strong group, with plenty of experience that is ready to build on last year's successes.
Last year's team went 21-12 overall and 18-6 in the KCAC, and earned an at-large berth to the NAIA Division II National Championships, and this year's Coyotes plan to use the momentum gained at the end of last year as a spring board into the new year.
"We are going to use that as a spring board, what we were able to accomplish last year," Showman said. "I feel like we return experience, we return veterans, we return leadership.
"I think the most important things are that they return national tournament experience and they know what it takes to go through a conference season. We were still fighting for first place in the league at Game 22, and that's deep into the season and that's huge."
