Prince Andrew pays tribute to Sarah Ferguson on her 60th birthday with unseen picture of Fergie, Beatrice and Eugenie and their partners
PRINCE Andrew has shared a never-before-seen family photo to celebrate his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s 60th birthday.
Despite their split over 23 years ago, the Duke of York wished his ex-wife a happy birthday on Instagram – where he posted a picture of himself and Fergie proudly posing with their daughters and their partners at this year’s Trooping the Colour.
Sharing the photos with his 220,000 followers, the Duke wrote: “Wishing Sarah Ferguson a very happy 60th birthday!”
The first image shows Andrew, Sarah, Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank and Beatrice and fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi posing outside Buckingham Palace in June.
Giving a nod to Sarah’s charity work, Andrew then posted another photo of his ex playing with local children in Sierra Leone earlier this year.
The third and final image shows Sarah posing with nurses and young people during a hospital visit with daughters Eugenie and Beatrice.
Earlier today, Fabulous Digital exclusively revealed that Prince Andrew is hosting Sarah’s intimate birthday bash complete with a garden marquee and unlimited pink champagne.
A royal source told Fabulous Digital: “The invitations to the surprise birthday have been sent out by Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
“It is going to be a sit down dinner for friends and family at their home Royal Lodge.
“There will be a marque in the garden and she has ordered in loads of her favourite drink, pink Laurent Perrier champagne.”
Despite getting divorced 25 years ago, Prince Andrew and Sarah remain close friends, and even live together still at the Grade II-listed home, located three miles from Windsor Castle.
In response to her birthday wishes, Sarah posted a photo of her presenting an award to David Attenborough with the caption: “Thank you for all the birthday messages! This is one of the highlights of my life…”
