KATIE Price’s mucky mansion still has scorched walls from a house fire that happened a year ago.

The 41-year-old took cameras inside her home earlier this week but new images show the issue goes far deeper than piles of dirty clothes and litter – and reveal just how much work is needed to get it sorted.

A source said:  “Katie’s got a big job on her hands – every surface is covered with clothes, litter, old vacuums, hangers – there are even empty sandwich packets and toys just lying around. Some rooms you can’t even get into because they’re so messy.

“Jett’s room has still got the burn marks going up the wall from when it was set alight last year – nothing has changed or been repaired. It’s a complete state.”

Last September the star’s £2million house was damaged by a fire which was caused by cheap scented candles which she had been using to save on electricity bills – and to mask the smell of cat wee.

The fire started in Jett’s room, which is located on the first floor, but fortunately her stepdad Paul was in the house and managed to contain it before it spread throughout the house.

Katie’s has let her mansion fall into a state of disrepair over the last couple of years as she struggles with financial woes.

Fans were shocked this week when she filmed a YouTube video inside the West Sussex pad – and seemed unconcerned about the graffiti scribbled walls.

The family recently moved into an “annex” of the house as building work got underway to try and sort out the property.

But building works have ground to a halt for the time being as she struggles with cash flow issues.

She yet again faces being declared bankrupt after failing to pay off £12,000 a month to creditors after taking out an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) 12 months ago.

Last month a bankruptcy charge was laid on her mucky mansion and today Judge Sally Barber ordered her to be served with a draft petition notice within seven days.

However, the star will escape the place on Thursday – with her heading off to film the celebrity version of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
