Axed EastEnders star Dean Gaffney suffers fresh heartache as his beloved grandma dies

DEAN Gaffney has suffered fresh heartache after revealing his beloved grandmother has passed away.

The 41-year-old actor’s tragic loss comes just days after EastEnders bosses axed him from the soap following a string of “bad decisions”.

Sharing his heartbreak on social media, Dean posted a picture of his late relative along with an emotional message.

He wrote: “Normally I wouldn’t divulge information like this on social media, however we celebrate births and marriages but never talk about death.

“RIP nanny Nancy.. I promise you I will look after mum, love you with all my heart. RIP .”

Outpourings of love quickly rolled in from the star’s celebrity pals, including ex EastEnders co-stars Richard Blackwood, Max Bowden and Emma Barton.

Richard wrote: “Sorry to hear that bro! Send Love to your mum for me .”

Max chimed: “Lots of love bro xxxx.”

Strictly star Emma commented: “Thinking of you .”

The sad news comes after the actor – who plays Robbie Jackson in the BBC soap – was axed from the show.

He has already made his final appearance after being quietly written out by bosses following reported concerns over his behaviour.

In June it emerged Dean had begged a stranger to send him sexy snaps.

The actor asked for pictures of dental nurse Theresa Hayman’s boobs and bum.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Dean knows he’s made some bad decisions and he is working hard to get his life back on track.
