Takeshi Inoue to fight in stay busy this weekend
Earlier today it was revealed that WBO Asia Pacific Light Middleweight champion Takeshi Inoue (14-1-1, 8) [井上 岳志] would be returning to the ring this coming weekend in a stay busy fight in Thailand.
The talented Light Middleweight, who challenged for the WBO world title earlier this year, will be up against Thai novice Anirut Nerndee (3-4-1, 3), in what really is just a stay busy fight for Inoue.
This will be Inoue's second fight in Thailand, where he fought way back in September 2016 in a similar stay busy type of bout.
Whilst the focus of the bout is on stay busy the idea seems to be for Inoue to get more experience of fighting away from home, and he'll be leaving for Thailand tomorrow, ahead of Saturday's fight.
Hopefully next year we'll see him on his travels for a much, much bigger bout than this, maybe even a second world title bout.
