ADEL TAARABT sent Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang “back to London” with this sublime bit of skill.

The former Spurs and QPR man, 30, made a mockery of the Gunners striker during the friendly between Morocco and Gabon yesterday.

It was in the 19th minute that winger Taarabt, who now plays for Benfica, dragged the ball back away from and past a flummoxed Aubameyang – who has vowed to change the image fans have of him after his Gabon exile.

And fans of the former Prem star were loving the moment of magic – despite Morocco going on to lose 3-2.

One said: “Taarabt just sent Aubameyang back to London.”

Another wrote: “Aubameyang is finished.”

One comment read: “Saucy, what a baller.”

A fellow user posted: “Don’t worry about it @Aubameyang7 it happens to everyone.”

Some picked up on an important distinction, though.

Taarabt’s showboating is not actually a nutmeg.

One eagle-eyed viewer said: “Missed the nutmeg but burned him nonetheless.”

Aubameyang – who did not score in the friendly – will have some time to recover from the humiliation, at least.

Unai Emery’s side are not back in action until Monday, when they travel to Sheffield United.
