Man’s dinner of cheesy mashed potato on buttered bread branded ‘vomit inducing carb fest’
A MAN’S dinner has been branded a ‘vomit inducing carb fest’ after he whipped up cheesy mashed potato on buttered toast.
Buttery toast and mashed potato are both classic dishes – but not together.
But one man decided to push the limits of culinary invention with his beige-on-beige feast.
Rolls Royce worker Chris, from Derby, shared a snap of his dinner to Facebook.
Proud of his efforts, he said he’s made a “culinary classic, mashed potato on toast, no gravy required.”
But his dish soon went viral as people questioned the odd pairing, and lack of food groups.
Commenting on his masterpiece, one person went as far as to brand it “a crazy vomit carb fest too far,” Derby Telegraph reported.
Someone else thought: “I’m sorry but mashed potato needs gravy.”
A third person simply said: “That’s…what…how…err…nope. Just, no.”
Not everyone was horrified with Chris’ meal, with one person saying: “I see no problem with this!
“Carbs with a side of carbs…love toast, love mash…lots of fibre!
“Just needs to be covered in more cheese…food of champions Chris!”
After receiving the avalanche of comments, Chris added: “I never realised it was such a monitory group.
“I feel ostracised.”
