BMW driver, 15, booked for DUII, hit-run in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 15-year-old was arrested for DUII, felony hit-and-run and reckless driving after 2 crashes involving 4 vehicles, including the BMW he was driving.
The BMW rear-ended a Dodge Dakota at a stoplight at SW Barbur Boulevard and Alice Street around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Portland police told KOIN 6 News. An officer heard that crash and got to the scene very quickly.
The BMW drove off, then slammed into a crosswalk controller, then into oncoming traffic and hit a Subaru. The Subaru then hit a Mercedes.
The driver of the Mercedes was seriously hurt and rushed to a nearby hospital.
The teen BMW driver, whose name hasn’t been released, was arrested and taken to the Multnomah County Juvenile Detention facility.
