[Football] Hendrickson on Saturday's game - 'No intention to score 90'
Myers Hendrickson had no intentions of scoring 90 points or embarrassing Saint Mary during last Saturday's Kansas Conference game at Graves Family Sports Complex.
The No. 2 Coyotes' 90-0 victory raised some eyebrows and had some wondering how and why it happened, though.
Hendrickson, who's in his first season at KWU, said the goal was for his team to play well after having the previous week off.
"It's not something we planned on happening, we just wanted to go out and play well and play a complete game," he said. "We were coming off a bye week and there were things we needed to address and we fixed them. We feel like the self-scout we did over our bye week paid off.
"We had 90 points with (9:30) to go in the game, it wasn't a deal where we were trying to score at the end of the game or anything like that."
