[Men's Basketball] SSU men slated seventh in MSC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll
The men's basketball program at Shawnee State was picked to finish seventh of nine teams in the Mid-South Conference's Preseason Coaches Poll by obtaining 24 points in all in a poll voted on by conference coaches and one that was released by conference officials on Thursday.
Shawnee State, who edged Cumberland (Tenn.)'s 14 points and Thomas More's nine tallies in the men's poll, will look to improve on a season where the Bears finished 14-16 with a 5-9 overall record in the Mid-South Conference. Shawnee State has improved its conference record in each of the past two seasons as the Bears have gone from a 2-12 overall mark in Mid-South play to the 5-9 mark that was obtained in '18-19.
