Police want all drivers to see this terrifying crash which killed an innocent mum

A horrifying video released by police shows how the selfish actions two speeding drivers led to the death of an innocent mum.

The footage shows the drivers travelling at ridiculous speeds and on the wrong side of the road through built up areas before a horror crash.

Racing down a 30mph residential street at frightening speeds of around 70mph, the two young men devastated a whole family.

The footage, released by Greater Manchester Police and reported by the Manchester Evening News, should act as a warning.

Lewis Fisher, 21, and Joseph Pownall, 27, have now been jailed for 11 and 12 years respectively.

They were both convicted of causing the death of Joanne Bailey-Collinge by dangerous driving, following the incident on Bickershaw Lane in Wigan.

Pownall was 'intent on revenge' after one of Fisher's friends had smashed the window of his Volkswagen Amarok while it was parked near a pub.

After being informed of the damage, Pownall chased Fisher's silver Mercedes C220, with the cars reaching speeds of more than twice the 30mph limit.

The judge said Pownall had rammed Fisher's car from the back, as they drove dangerously close to each other.

Both cars lost grip and went on to the wrong side of the road, with the Mercedes crashing head on into Mrs Bailey-Collinge's Volkswagen Polo, which also contained her husband Andrew and two of their children.

They were on their way to a barbecue at a neighbour's house.

Mrs Bailey-Collinge suffered catastrophic injuries, and was pronounced dead hours later.{{file|t=bLw_1571417350}} {{file|t=kVgLP_1571417352}}
