Lebanese anti-government protests resume

Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets of Beirut in Lebanon for a third day of anti-government protests disrupting the city.

Protests erupted against proposed new taxes which includes changes on Whatsapp calls, and are posing a challenge to the coalition government.

The government reversed the tax on Whatsapp calls but the protests have spread to other parts of the country with demand for better living conditions and an end to endemic corruption.
