[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer ties 0-0 with Point after 2OT

LAURINBURG, N.C. – The St. Andrews men's soccer team ended their game in a tie against the Point Skyhawks after 110 minutes of scoreless play.

Neither AAC team could find the back of the net in Saturday's matchup, but both teams put a significant number of shots on the board. Throughout the two periods and the two overtimes, St. Andrews tallied 29 shots against the Skyhawks while limiting Point to 14.

St. Andrews controlled the second period, holding the Skyhawks to only three shots while the Knights launched 14. The Knights had several close plays inside the box but couldn't connect with the net to score.

Knights goalkeeper, Valentino Parini, held his ground and collected 5 saves over the 110-minute game span.

Chris Taylor and Gabriel Cavelheiro each recorded 6 shots, leading the Knights.

St. Andrews men's soccer will hit the road for their next competition, traveling to Greenville, SC to face Bob Jones University on October 22nd.
