[Volleyball] Knights Volleyball comes up short against AAC undefeated Reinhardt
LAURINBURG, N.C. – The St. Andrews women's volleyball team put up a hard fight against the AAC undefeated Eagles of Reinhardt University but fell short in four sets, 21-25,25-21,19-25,16-25.
Set 1 : The Eagles started off the match with a 25-21 win in set one, limiting the Knights to just 10 kills while they tallied 16. The set was point for point most of the time with 18 ties.
Set 2 : Although the Knights were down in the first half of the second set, they went on a 7-point run at 18-21 built off Shalia Powell's serves that gave them the 25-21 set win.
Set 3 : St. Andrews carried their energy over to the third set winning the first point of the set by a Kylie Winchell kill. The Eagles quickly defused the Knights energy and created a 6-point lead to take the set 25-19.
Set 4: The Knights earned the first 4 points of the set, leading 4-0 before Reinhardt began to make their comeback. The Eagles tied it up at 8-8 and controlled the remainder of the set and created the largest lead of the match with a final score of 25-16.

Reinhardt collected 9 team blocks, while the Knights recorded 6.
The Eagles had 54 kills with 31 errors, hitting for .124 and limiting St. Andrews to 37 kills with 33 errors.
Knights Leaders:
The Knights were led by Kylie Winchell, tallying 11 kills and the only Knight to record double-digits in the kill column. Winchell had the highest hitting percentage with a .211 with 4 block assists.
Shalia Powell recorded a double-double in the match against the Eagles with 24 assists and 16 digs.
Freshman Jada Reed collected 7 kills, followed by Alex Blackwell's 6.
