Man Utd vice-chairman Woodward: Scrutiny part of the job

Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward knows he's under pressure.

The under-fire executive vice chairman accepted that pressure was also mounting on him to steer the club to success, with United having spent 900million on transfers since his promotion and failed to challenge for the title again.

He told United We Stand fanzine, "I understand the scrutiny; it's part of the job.

"We have to do everything that we possibly can to get back to winning the Premier League. We are not successful until we do. Second is not success, we have to win the Premier League.

"I feel that we are on the right track to get back to that point but we are going to have to be patient."
