Thousands participate in Providence breast cancer walk

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Thousands of people, many decked out in pink, showed in Providence for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Organizers of the American Cancer Society event tell WPRI-TV about 15,000 people participated in Sunday's event, and raised nearly $550,000 for cancer research.
