Strictly fans convinced the Cha Cha Cha is the REAL show curse as it sends second couple in a row home
STRICTLY fans are convinced the Cha Cha Cha is the REAL show curse as a second couple were booted out after performing the dance.
Viewers claimed the dance is damned, after celebrity contestants Catherine Tyldesley and Dev Griffin took on the Cuban routine and were ditched from the show.
Ex-Corrie star Catherine was sent home in Halloween week on Sunday despite an impressive performance to Scared Of The Dark by Steps with partner Johannes Radebe, leaving many fans outraged.
Meanwhile, the decision to axe DJ Dev and his pro partner Dianne Buswell caused a huge Strictly backlash, with angry trolls even sending judge Shirley Ballas death threats.
But viewers reckon that neither the judges or celebrities are at fault and surmised that the routine, is in fact, cursed.
One person said: “Gutted for @Cath_Tyldesley and @jojo_radebe it was the #Strictly #chachacha #Curse”
Another announced on Twitter: “It’s the curse of the Cha Cha Cha again!!”
One more fan called it “lethal” and said: “Never mind the #strictly curse. That cha cha cha is lethal.”
As another said: “So another good dancer goes at the expense of a poorer one. First Dev now Catherine, what a joke. Not happy, wrong decision.”
The theory rose back in week two when Katya Jones dramatically fell over during her Cha-Cha-Cha with Mike Bushell.
She performed with the 53-year-old sports presenter to It’s Raining Men as part of their Magic Mike movie week dance.
However, the Russian beauty missed her footing and slipped to the floor.
Meanwhile, former England footballer David James avoided the cha cha cha last week but was still eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The sports star – who was partnered with professional partner Nadiya Bychkova – appeared in the bottom two with BBC sport presenter Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones.
David and Nadiya performed their Jive to Such a Night by Michael Bublé and Mike and Katya performed their Salsa to Jump On It to The Sugar Hill Gang in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

The judges were agreed on saving Mike and Katya, resulting in David being sent home from the competition.
After leaving he said: “Oh I’ve loved it. I feel so bad I’ve let Nadiya down in a sense.
“I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve put some weight on though.”
