Teresa Giudice admits she’d divorce husband Joe if ICE deportation means he’s banned from returning to US
REALITY star Teresa Giudice has admitted she may have to divorce husband Joe if ICE deportation means he can’t return to the US.
The couple, who have both served federal prison sentences for engaging in bank, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, opened up about their marriage to Andy Cohen, 51, during The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked.
Joe, 49, took part via satellite from Italy, where he has been released by ICE officials following his three year prison sentence.
Teresa, 47, is set to bring their four daughters to visit him in the next few weeks.
The visit, which host Andy promised would be filmed for the reality series, will ultimately decide whether the pair will stay together, both said on Sunday.
Teresa revealed: “I want the best for him. I want him to happy and I want him to be successful. But I don’t know if we could stay together, him living across the country.
“I don’t see it working.”
The star went on reveal their daughters Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 10, understand her position.
She continued: “I think they get it. I don’t think they want to see it happen, obviously, but I think they understand.
“Because the way I explained it to them, how are we going to live apart? I don’t think he would be faithful. I think he would have someone there and have me here. I just don’t want to live that life. I just don’t.”
However, Joe hit back at Teresa’s comments, insisting he wouldn’t stray.
Joe said: “It’s been three and a half years. If I wanted to be with somebody, I could be with somebody this week.
“That’s not what I’m looking to do.
“Listen, as long as she’s happy, that’s all that really matters. I’m not going to tell her what to do. If she doesn’t feel like she wants to be with me anymore, then that’s the thing to do.”
Despite their marriage troubles, the pair admitted they still have feelings for one another.
Joe said: “Of course, she’s my wife. I’ve been with her a long time. No matter what happens, I’ll always love her.”
While Teresa agreed: “I do love him as a person. I’ll start crying. I do care about him, I love him.”
The couple admitted to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting phony loan applications in 2014.
