Spice Girl Geri Horner hopes to become UK’s answer to Gwyneth Paltrow by starting YouTube career
GERI Horner was an actress in Spice World and telly presenter on All Together Now – but what she really, really wants is to be a YouTuber.
I can reveal the Spice Girls singer is launching her own channel on the site where, in a desperate bid to prove she can compete with young vloggers, she will give advice on wellbeing, cooking and parenthood.
In a massive overhaul of her image, she is hoping to become the UK’s answer to Gwyneth Paltrow, who has made a fortune through online lifestyle brand Goop by giving out her own tips.
Geri has a million Instagram followers and 34,900 YouTube subscribers, compared to Gwyneth’s 6.6million Insta fans and 49,100 Goop YouTube subscribers.
A source said: “Geri has a decent following on social media and loves making videos on Instagram so wants to build on that with her own YouTube channel.
“She got the idea after seeing the success of Gywneth, who’s become an icon in her own right.
“She will film the videos at her country house in Oxfordshire, where she has previously shot similar segments for ITV’s This Morning.
“Geri is convinced people want her advice and over the past few weeks she’s been gearing up to start dishing out her life hacks.
“She is going to be covering everything from how to make her favourite dishes to looking after her animals. It will be eclectic and typically a bit bonkers.”
I assume she won’t be discussing that one-night of passion with Mel B, though.
The Spice Girls finished their reunion tour with Emma Bunton and Melanie C in June, but it was Geri who pulled out of plans for future shows in Las Vegas and Australia when she said she did not want to be away from home.
Instead of her bandmates, Ginger Spice will be accompanied in the videos by her Formula 1 Red Bull boss husband Christian, their son Monty and Geri’s daughter Bluebell.
I told in January how Posh Spice Victoria Beckham was launching a YouTube channel, but she axed it this month after it failed to turn a profit.
Gwyneth may have made millions off her venture but if Victoria can’t make it work, I can’t see Geri’s being a big success. If she really wants a few more quid in the bank, that lucrative Las Vegas residency might be for the best.

Walk into something special
TOM Walker and Travis are treating fans to special gigs, but only if they are prepared to sleep outside for the night.
They are the first names announced to sing in Trafalgar Square on December 7, where Dame Helen Mirren will read a bedtime story for The World’s Big Sleep Out, which is a major charity campaign to combat homelessness.
Events are being held in more than 50 towns and cities across the globe, with The Script entertaining in Dublin and Frank Turner in Chicago.

No early Xmas as Robbie’s girl left off credits
ROBBIE Williams’ daughter must be owed some decent Christmas gifts after being hoodwinked by her dad.
Teddy, seven, sings on Robbie’s festive album, The Christmas Present, but he says she won’t be getting a penny for her contribution.
Asked whether she would be getting royalties, he said: “No, not yet. I’ll be keeping them.” But will she at least be credited?
Robbie said: “I don’t know, it’s not a duet, it’s only a very small bit.”
I told last month how Teddy would feature on the album, out on November 22, despite the fact his other children did not get a look in.
In an exclusive chat about how the collaboration happened, Robbie said: “Teddy is on a track called Home.
“I have a studio in my house and the kids wander down.
“This particular time she was singing and I said, ‘You sound great, baby – do you think you can remember these words?’. She knocked it out of the park.”
As well as being snubbed on the album credits, Teddy has been replaced in the video for single Time For Change as Robbie doesn’t want his kids’ faces to be seen in public.
Speaking about the clip, shot at home with wife AYDA, he said: “The children in the video are not ours, but they insisted on calling me Dad all day. It was so weird.”

Shakira and I have spoken a few times already.”
LIAM Payne has admitted he was terrified when he became a dad to son Bear with Cheryl Tweedy. The singer, who releases debut solo album LP1 in December, said: “At first it is the most scary thing in the world. You’re like, ‘Oh my God, I have got to take care of this tiny thing’. I was so young when I became a dad. So it’s a learning curve the whole time.”
Just eggs on fans
JUSTIN Bieber must have been expecting his next album to be more in demand after his latest cry for attention fell flat.
He shared an image on Instagram on Sunday night, with the caption: “If this gets 20million likes, Justin Bieber will release an album before Christmas.”
But today – 48 hours after he posted the message – it had racked up just over half that figure.
Justin said he had to “see the demand” before releasing the follow-up to 2015 No1 release Purpose. I expect he imagined people might be more eager, given he has 121million followers on the site.
If it does eventually reach the 20million figure, it will be the second most-liked post after a photo of an egg went viral and got 53.9million likes in January.
Cracking that achievement now seems a bit hopeful for Biebs.

PARIS Hilton gave scary Halloween outfits a wide berth, instead opting for this sexy Russian sailor costume.
The party DJ chose the nautical number for a Beverly Hills bash – but with the outfit sailing close to the wind, I reckon she’d be in deep water if she rocked up for the navy in it.
No word yet on whether she hit the decks. It comes after the heiress insisted she had toned down her wardrobe and would be more grounded from now on.
Paris said: “I’ve learned to tone it down a little bit, be a bit more understated sometimes. But it depends on the situation – I’m a chameleon.
