The US Embassy in Iraq was close being struck in a rocket attack that killed 1 Iraqi soldier

• Two Katyusha rockets were fired into Baghdad's Green Zone Wendnesday night, landing about 100 meters away from the US Embassy. 
• One Iraqi soldier has been killed in the attack, which comes after nearly a month of protests by Iraqis frustrated with the lack of resources and jobs, which they attribute to government corruption.

Iraqi security officials say two rockets have been fired into Baghdad's fortified Green Zone area, killing one Iraqi soldier.

At least one of the Katyusha rockets fired Wednesday night landed about 100 meters (110 yards) away from the parameters of the US Embassy. The US State Department told Insider it was aware of the reports of the attack and was investigating. See the rest of the story at Business Insider
