Carolina Army Guard troops move into eastern Syria with Bradley Fighting Vehicles

National Guard members from North and South Carolina began moving into eastern Syria with heavy armored vehicles on Thursday as part of the Pentagon’s new mission to secure oil fields wrestled from the Islamic State, a military spokesman said.
